Running the Membership Presentation

How to drive the membership presentation live on a sales appointment. The first two topics change based on what the prospect tells you; the rest is a fixed sequence you step through with the down arrow. Watch the walkthrough, then keep this page for the quick reference.

Watch first: the full walkthrough, start to close. The reference below is what you keep open on the call.

Before the call

Your presentation link. Grab it from the kit at the bottom of this page. Dan's is there now, and we will add more as they come.

It is finished and ready. Your copy is a complete presentation, with the Cornerstone and the highlight video already in it. Nothing for you to build or set up.

Turn on Share Sound in Zoom. When you share your screen, check Share Sound in the bottom-left of the Share Screen window before you hit Share, so the membership video plays with audio on his end. Once it is on, your Audio button shows "Leave computer audio," which is how you confirm it. Zoom's own steps: Sharing computer audio.

Practice the flow a few times so the numbers are muscle memory. You reach this at the presentation step of the appointment, after you have asked your best questions and heard his hot buttons.

The study guide: hear the hot button, know the number

While he is talking, you are matching what you hear to a number. Hear the hot button, know the angle, press its key. This is the part to memorize.

PressThe angle he seesOpen it when he talks about…
1Stop losing the jobs you already earnedMissed calls, quotes that go cold, or work slipping through the cracks.
2The reputation you built, finally yoursHis reputation and ownership: the reviews he loses the day he stops paying a platform.
3The business behind the businessThe business behind the marketing: insurance, his crew, finding good subs, or having nobody to ask.
4Get in while it is still being builtComing in early, the Founding 300, or what is real today versus what is coming later.
5Leads: one homeowner, one contractorShared leads, the speed race, or fake names. Node 2 only, and never your first pick.

Node 1 offers angles 1 to 4. Node 2 offers the same four plus Leads at 5. Open one angle on each node: the one that matches his strongest hot button, then his second. Leads sits at 5 because you never lead with leads.

The controls

Two rules

  1. Number keys, not clicks. Drive the two dynamic nodes from the number keys, so the reveal tray never shows on the shared screen.
  2. Memorize the five nodes. When you hear his hot button, you already know the number.
